Career

Thomas Schumacher studied industrial engineering at Clausthal University of Technology. From 2012 to 2020, he held various positions at a systems supplier to the German automotive industry, including Head of Quality in the E-Axle Systems division. Starting in 2020, Thomas Schumacher worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and earned his Ph.D. in 2025 on the topic of heterogeneous modeling to increase information content in the context of model-based systems engineering. Since October 2025, he has been working as a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Integrated Product Development within the Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
