Our research contributes to advancing the future of product development. At its core is the investigation of approaches, methods, and digital tools that address increasing demands related to complexity, sustainability, and digitalization, while at the same time strengthening the responsibility of engineers and developers to shape our future.
We address key questions concerning the use of artificial intelligence in product development, the role of humans in data-driven development processes, and the design of circular value creation. Our work is rooted in Engineering Design Science and is characterized by a strong theoretical foundation and high methodological rigor. In this way, we generate new knowledge on approaches, methods, and digital tools and contribute to a reflective, future-oriented, and sustainable development practice.
