Additive Manufacturing Lab
The Institute of Mechanical Engineering has a complete rapid prototyping and rapid tooling process chain. This includes
- Rapid tooling system from EOS for the production of metallic prototypes, functional parts and tools (molds and electrodes)
- Turbula T2F mixer for powder mixing
- DIMENSION BST 768 for the production of thermoplastic prototypes
- Software for rapid tooling-compatible preparation of CAD data (Magics RP)
- Apparatus and equipment for infiltrating and coating sintered components with resins and low-melting-point metals
- Sandblasting cabin for various blasting media (steel balls, ceramic powder, nut granulate, etc.)
- Workstations for manual post-processing of rapid tooling products
- TUCreate workshop with several 3D printers and a laser cutter for student applications
- HandySCAN optical 3D scanner from CREAFORM
- Various 3D design workstations
